World Championship in New Zealand 2025: my results in Hamilton
1 min read
In October 2025 I travelled to Hamilton, New Zealand, for the NRA Action Pistol World Championship. The journey was long and the time difference is eleven hours. On site I trained for several days to learn the range, the weather and the match flow.
The New Zealand Nationals came before the world championship. They served as preparation on the same range. The focus of the trip remained the world championship.

New Zealand Nationals
The Nationals were a separate international match on the same trip, not a world championship.

The match itself was four days of Action Pistol. The weather changed. On the range we had to solve organisational and equipment issues, including locally reloaded ammunition. I shot among other classes in Production, Production Optics, Metallic and Rimfire.
The recorded results are three gold, three silver and one bronze. That includes the Production Expert class win and the team wins with Team Production BDMP Germany and Team Metallic AccuracyX. In the overall standings of those gun classes I finished second in Production Overall and Rimfire Metallic Overall, second in Metallic Master and third in Production Optics Master.
Besides the placings, representing Germany internationally matters to me. The full list is on the results page.
